I just want to wish everyone who comes across and reads this blog a happy, prosperous and healthy 2010! May it live up to be your best year yet!
This Christmas has just seemed to have flown by. Maybe it's been all the preparations, chocolate and sweet making that have made it seem to go so quickly (or is it I'm just getting old!!).
Anyway, I've been busy with making some chocolate boxes for my granddaughter's pre-school teachers before Christmas. These included raspberry ganache, sea salted caramel, dark and white chocolate vanilla truffles, dark chocolate lemon bars, dark chocolate violet and milk chocolate layered bars. I did take some pictures but accidentally erased them from the camera but when I make some more I'll post some pictures here.
I've also tried out a recipe for quick chocolate fudge squares from Waitrose which I'll post. I added some flaked almonds and chopped stem ginger and it was really quick and easy to make.

I have to say, being the Chocolate connoisseur that i am, that the vanilla truffles were to die for, absolute heaven in a little tiny parcel.
